The OPP Graduate Scholarship program

The OPP Graduate Scholarships program offers a different type of scholarships, including partial and full scholarships, to deserving students. The admissions committee decides whether to award partial or full scholarships based on the individual merits and circumstances of each applicant.

Scholarships are awarded to students applying for a one-year master’s program at the University of Oxford (excluding MBA courses). You can apply if you have been studying longer than one year (for example M.Phil and D.Phil). In this case, OPP can provide partial support.

OPP generally does not cover air travel from Pakistan. However, in exceptional cases and depending on available resources, we can provide some travel support.

Eligibility:

The criteria below apply to all OPP Graduate Scholarships unless otherwise stated.

  • Applicants must be Pakistani nationals or British Pakistanis living in Pakistan.
  • They must be accepted into an undergraduate program at the University of Oxford.
  • Holders affiliated to ANY College in Oxford are eligible to apply for the OPP Graduate Scholarships Programmed, but applicants must be prepared to transfer their college membership to Lady Margaret Hall if they accept the scholarship.
  • The OPP Scholarship Committee considers academic merit and financial need when awarding scholarships. Some scholarships may have special preferences, such as for female applicants or students from a specific region. Particular preference will be given to applicants for whom the opportunity to study at Oxford will change their lives.

Applicants must demonstrate that they wish to contribute to Pakistan’s development through substantive research and public engagement.

Selection Process:

  • Applicants who have an offer from one of Oxford’s undergraduate programs must complete and submit an online application by the deadline.
  • Selected applicants will be invited for an online interview by the OPP Scholarship Committee. Candidate will be selected before the end of may.
  • Due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to provide feedback on individual applications.
  • Interested parties can apply by filling out and submitting this online application form.
